The Aircraft

O F F operates a fleet of three Cessna 150s which we feel is the best airplane in the business for basic pilot training. The C-150 is a sturdy and forgiving airplane which has proven its worth to generations of beginning pilots, and has a safe and economical maintenance record which is beneficial to students and flying schools alike. The operation of the C-150 allows us to keep our training costs low which translates into lower prices for our students

To compliment the C-150s OFF operates a Cessna 152. This plane is a newer version of the C-150 with long-range fuel tanks which enable the aircraft to stay airborne for up to nine hours without refueling. This capability coupled with extra horsepower makes the 152 an excellent aircraft for cross-country flights and building time towards your Commercial Licence.

For cross country and the rental preference for a four seater basic aircraft one cannot beat the Cessna 172. The most popular single engine A/C in the world. In 1999 NKJ was fitted with extra navigation instrumentation making it fully IFR certified. Add that extra safety factor and qualify for single engine IFR or use this versatile plane as a stepping stone for the full multi-engine rating.

The Piper Aztec  is a six place twin and a very stable airplane. It's stability  is ideal for IFR training and you will have a 'real' A/C in your log book.. This A/C is in use by several commercial operators and cannot be compared to a Private light twin commonly used by flying schools. Why not do your training on an aircraft that you can fly as a professional? The combination of OFF's instructors and the Kingston Airport facilities insure training costs remain low.
